Hubby left this morning for Manila to renew his passport, visa and do medical check-up. He also will take trainings their too. Hubby is sick for almost 2 weeks, I think. He have cough and colds. That is why my youngest daughter got cough and colds too, poor baby (2 years old). I just gave her Disudrin for her colds and Ambroxol for her cough. Praying that she will be okay so that she can play already. My heart aches when I see her cough from time to time. I just declare Healing will be upon her, in Jesus name! Amen and Amen.

FYI: Contact Lenses
Just want to share to you this information I got in Facebook, especially those who are wearing contact lenses.

A 21 year old girl had worn a pair of contact lenses during a barbecue party.(An event or meal at which
food is cooked outdoors over an ...open grill or fire) While barbecuing he stared at the fire charcoals
continuously for 2-3 minutes.
After a few minutes, She started to scream for help and moved rapidly, jumping up and down. No one in the party knew why she was doing this? Then she admitted into the Hospital, the doctor said she'll be blind permanently because of the contact lenses that he had worn.
Contact lenses are made by plastics, and the heat from the charcoal melted his contact lenses.
DO NOT WEAR CONTACT LENSES WHERE
OVERHEATING and FLAMES are concerned....
or while COOKING...!
Friends if u feel the information is important, Please SHARE this message to all your near & dear ones who use contact lens.....PLEASE SHARE IT MAY BE SAVES SOMEBODY LIFE.

Talking on your mobile phone may spike blood pressure
Almost everybody have a mobile phone, am I correct? We use it in our day to day routine/activity. Some cannot live without their mobile phones. We also know that using too much cellphone can cause illness because of its radiation. In +Yahoo , there is an article that I read that talking on your mobile phone may spike blood pressure, and I will share it to you. New research finds that talking on your mobile phone can increase your blood pressure.
Researchers from Italy's Guglielmo da Saliceto Hospital enlisted 94 men and women who had mild to moderate high blood pressure. Subjects randomly received phone calls on their mobile, seated in a comfortable chair alone in a room, while their blood pressure measurements were taken via an automated device. The team saw that subjects' blood pressure readings jumped to 129/82 from 121/77 while they chatted on a mobile phone.
But for those who talked on their phones more than 30 times each day, the rise in systolic, or the top number, blood pressure was less dramatic, the study found.
While the researchers aren't clear as to why this happens, study lead Dr. G. Crippa speculates two possible reasons: "The subset of patients who were more accustomed to phone use were younger, which could show that younger people are less prone to be disturbed by telephone intrusions."
He adds: "Another possibility is that people who make more than 30 calls per day may feel more reassured if the mobile phone is activated since they are not running the risk of missing an opportunity."
The findings were presented Wednesday at the annual scientific meeting of the American Society of Hypertension in San Francisco.

meditation cushion
We all know that doing exercise is good to our body. Did you know that there are 7 benefits of regular physical activity? Exercise controls weight, combats health conditions and diseases, improves mood, boosts energy, promotes better sleep, puts the spark back into your sex life and can be fun. But as I have watched and browse online, many do yoga for their daily routine. Yoga is a commonly known generic term for the physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India with a view to attain a state of permanent peace. When doing yoga, you need to have a mat or a meditation cushion that you will use. Choosing a proper mediation cushion, it depends on a few criteria including meditation posture, proper alignment, comfort, and the look and feel of the cushion. The human body is neither flat nor predictably curved. Without proper support, your body will succumb to the shape of the surface on which it rests. Which Meditation Cushion is for You? Browse online for different kinds/types of meditation cushions that suite your needs.

Eating more protein may help you shed weight
One way to lose weight? Eating more protein could be a guiding goal, at least according to a new survey.
While dieters are faced with myriad options for shedding extra kilos, University of Minnesota researchers wanted to see how simply eating more protein could affect the weight-loss efforts of middle-aged women.
In the study, 1,824 women aged 40 to 60 years old were asked what they knew about dietary protein and if they ate more protein as a way to prevent weight gain. Women were also asked to correctly identity "good protein sources," such as salmon, and the recommended amount of protein in the diet.
"Eating more protein" -- which could be as simple as opting for fish in lieu of pasta -- was reported by 43 percent of the women as a way to prevent weight gain. When researchers looked at current protein consumption and changes in weight over the following two years, they found that the women who reported "eating more protein" had lost weight.
The survey was published in the May edition of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.
A separate study promoting protein-rich diets for weight loss is from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which found that eating a protein-packed breakfast can help you shed weight. In the study, dieters who consumed 35 grams of protein for breakfast snacked less throughout the day and reported more control over food cravings. Findings appeared in March in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

I really love fruits, especially mangoes, bananas, avocado, grapes, watermelon, etc. I do not eat guyabano, just don't like it. Fruits are indispensable. Its fiber, water, minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients, antioxidants keep us well.

2. Cantaloupe/muskmelon is an excellent source of phytochemicals – vitamin A and C.
3. Kiwi fruit with vitamin C, vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids from its numerous edible seeds have potential properties of a natural blood thinner.

But now a new study finds that it may have a surprising benefit. Unlike low-fat food products and other natural fats, olive oil helps to regulate the sensation of feeling full after eating, which could help keep your fingers off the nibbles between meals. Did you know that olive oil contains a wide variety of valuable antioxidants that are not found in other oils. Epidemiological studies suggest that olive oil has a protective effect against certain malignant tumours in the breast, prostate, endometrium and digestive tract.

tea brewer
In my family, some of them loves to drink tea. Tea is an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. It has a cooling, slightly bitter, and astringent flavor that many people enjoy. Tea has been promoted for having a variety of positive health benefits. Green tea may lower blood low-density lipoprotein and total cholesterol levels, though the studies were of short duration and it is not known if these effects result in fewer deaths; moreover, the evidence does not indicate that green tea reduces the risk of coronary artery disease. Several randomized controlled trials suggest green tea can reduce body fat by a small amount for a short time, though it is not certain if the reduction would be meaningful for most people. At present, we are now buying tea powder and brew it. Well, how do we brew a tea? You simply just put water to the tea brewer, then put the tea powder and let it boil or heat in couple of minutes and your done. Brewing the perfect cup of tea from loose leaves is simple and straightforward. There is no right or wrong way to make tea. Feel free to experiment and let your palate be the guide.

Youthology
It is my first time to encounter the word youthology and when I searched it on the internet, it is a wrinkle removing serum. I know of people that have wrinkles, but what caused them? They say that you get wrinkles when your skin is dry, lack of sleep and lack of the required nutrients. Ultraviolet radiation markedly speeds up the natural aging process and is the primary cause of early wrinkling. Smoking can accelerate the normal aging process of your skin, contributing to wrinkles. This may be due to changes in the blood supply to your skin. To avoid getting wrinkles, we must sleep on time at least 8 hours then not to much work at the office to avoid stress that can cause wrinkles and the important thing to do is eat the right kind of food and do exercise.
