And the New Idol Is ... Taylor Hicks!

The votes are in -- 63.4 million of them -- and last night, TAYLOR HICKS defeated KATHARINE McPHEE for the recording contract and title of new "American Idol." Both finalists sang their hearts out, and our own VICTORIA RECAÑO was backstage for both the celebrations and tears!

The evening was full of superstar surprises as Katharine dueted with rock-opera singer MEAT LOAF, Taylor hammed it up with TONI BRAXTON and runner-up ELLIOTT YAMIN almost got upstaged by partner MARY J. BLIGE! CLAY AIKEN nearly stole the show when he surprised a failed contestant by coming onstage singing "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" in the middle of the kid's solo.

One of the biggest surprises of the night was the guest appearance of His Purple Highness, PRINCE, who took the stage to cheers and screams near the end of the night and belted out a couple of songs, flanked by two backup singers!

The other 10 members of the Final 12 also returned to the stage, along with CARRIE UNDERWOOD, who just won two trophies at the Academy of Country Music Awards this week. She sang "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and handed over the title to the new "Idol."

The day before on Tuesday's performances, Taylor gave his all on "Levon," the ELTON JOHN song, STEVIE WONDER's "Living For the City" and the all-new single "Do I Make You Proud." Katharine, meanwhile, warbled "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree," her crowd-pleaser "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and the single written just for the finals, "My Destiny."

Judge SIMON COWELL said he thought that Taylor ruled the first round but that Katharine's "Rainbow" was the "best performance of the competition."

But after Taylor blew the doors off "Do I Make You Proud," Simon about-faced and said, "Assuming that I was right that the show was tied, then you have just won 'American Idol'!"

RANDY JACKSON and PAULA ABDUL also said they thought Taylor should win.

The talented twosome have definitely been feeling the heat this week, but both expressed only the utmost respect for one another.

"Katharine has amazing vocal runs," Taylor admitted. "She has had some great moments on the show. She is a very talented girl. I wish the best for her and I can't wait to hear her album."

Katharine also has kind words for her competition. "I think Taylor is just free on stage," she said. "I get nervous a lot of times. I clench up. I can't be as spontaneous. We are both so different. It is just going to depend on what America wants."

Addicted to Plastic Surgery: She Still Wants More!

What do you think of this woman's plight? Read this story, and comment here...

JENNY LEE is a self-confessed plastic surgery addict who has undergone nearly 30 cosmetic surgeries and procedures, including a brow lift at age 25! But last May, the 29-year-old Dallas mom promised "The Insider" and board-certified plastic surgeon DR. ROBERT REY that she would not have plastic surgery for a year (Botox was still allowed). So has she finally kicked her habit? Of course not!

"I'm going in to have Botox around my eyes, a lower eyelid lift, possible work on my nose, my implants removed and replaced and a full body lift," she now tells us. "Nobody can change me, nobody. I wish it was different but it isn't, so that's the reality of it."

Jenny has already had Botox, cheek implants, three nose jobs, three lip implants, two boob jobs, three breast lifts and liposuction on her arms, hips, thighs, stomach and knees. In the past, she's maxed out her credit cards to pay for her addiction and even worked extra jobs. Even her family has begged her to stop but she refuses.

"I'm not in a place where I want to hear about it," she says. "I'm a grown adult making my own decisions and I don't want anyone trying to tell me what to do. Everything that needs to be said has already been said."

Last year, Dr. Rey diagnosed her with body dysmorphic disorder, a condition in which a person becomes obsessed with defects in their appearance that are often imagined.

"You cannot operate on these people," he said, "because they're never going to be happy. They're always going to come back for more."

He also warned Jenny about the potential for life-threatening complications, saying there is always a risk under anesthesia that "you could die. You could have a pulmonary embolism. You could have a stroke. You could end up in a vegetative state. The surgery could have adverse effects on your skin and your skin could split open."

And despite her stubborn obsession, he's still not giving up on her. To see what's next for Jenny, including a big surprise, keep watching "The Insider."

My Wedding Day (Jan.20,2006)

For the past years, I entered in a relationship that lasted for 5 years & 11 months. after that, kina-ugalian na natin na mag-propose ang isang guy sa girl for marriage. But for us ni, Sherwin wala na yun. We just talked about it & opened up everything. In our relationship, we have encounterd lots of trials but we know that we can solve it all by just having trust & faith in ourselves and to God who always answers all our prayers.

After the long commitment, we decided to settle down. 1 month of preparation is not enough so we got a wedding planner who did all the thinking and planning. January 20, 2006 is my happiest moment in my life!

I thank God, my family, relatives & friends who supported and guided us.

ps. i want to share to you ginawa ng online friend ko after my wedding...
